Dr. Syeda Sahar Zahra is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over a decade of clinical experience and a strong academic foundation. A graduate of the prestigious Nishtar Medical University, Multan, she earned her MBBS in 2012 with First Division honors. Her passion for women’s health led her to complete her FCPS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from CPSP Pakistan and MRCOG-1 certification, solidifying her expertise in maternal and reproductive healthcare.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Bahawalpur Medical and Dental College (BMDC), Dr. Zahra has made a significant impact through her dual role in clinical practice and academic mentorship. Her responsibilities include supervising the Main Gynaecological Operation Theatre, managing surgical schedules, and ensuring operational efficiency in Gynae Unit operations. She plays a pivotal role in interdepartmental coordination and contributes to the training of future medical professionals.
Dr. Zahra’s career reflects a blend of rigorous training and diverse clinical exposure. From her early days as a house officer in major departments including general surgery, medicine, ENT, and nephrology, to her specialization at Nishtar Medical Hospital as a Postgraduate Trainee in FCPS Gynae & Obs, she has consistently demonstrated clinical excellence, leadership, and compassion.
Beyond her core responsibilities, Dr. Zahra has contributed to the medical community through research publications in reputable journals, focusing on topics such as postmenopausal bleeding, fetal weight estimation, wound infection post-cesarean section, and maternal antibody response to COVID-19 vaccines.
